Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking with The Andean Way. By booking a tour with us, you agree to be bound by these policies.
1. Booking and Deposits
- To secure a booking, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation.
- For Inca Trail treks, the deposit is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable as permits are issued by the Peruvian government in the traveler’s name and cannot be changed.
- The remaining balance must be paid in full before the tour start date, as specified in your booking confirmation.
2. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made by the client must be submitted in writing.
- Deposits for treks (Inca Trail, Salkantay, Lares, etc.) are non-refundable.
- Cancellations made within [30] days of departure may be subject to a 100% cancellation fee of the total tour price.
- No refunds will be given for «no-shows» or unused portions of the tour.
3. Medical Insurance and Safety
- It is mandatory for all travelers to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and trip cancellation.
- Travelers must inform The Andean Way of any pre-existing medical conditions or dietary restrictions at the time of booking.
- The founder, Nilton, and our guides reserve the right to disqualify any participant from a trek if their physical condition poses a risk to themselves or the group.
4. Changes and Force Majeure
- The Andean Way reserves the right to modify itineraries due to weather conditions, strikes, landslides, or government regulations to ensure traveler safety.
- We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by «Force Majeure» (natural disasters, civil unrest, or political events).
5. Student Discounts
- To claim a student discount, a valid University Student ID card must be presented at the time of booking and during the trek. Failure to provide a valid ID may result in an additional charge by the authorities.
6. Responsibility
The Andean Way acts as an agent for the traveler and is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to person or property during the tour. We provide professional, certified guides to mitigate risks, but the nature of adventure trekking involves inherent risks that the traveler accepts upon booking.
